College Classes

For the last half-year or more I had been disturbed and troubled by roommate problems. Not knowing where I was going to live: I had to drop most of my classes. Now I seem to have a more stable situation and I will be taking classes again, at Cuesta College, this Fall Semester.   I am taking classes towards a webmaster certificate.

This time I am taking the first HTML class: I am taking them backwards; but that doesn't matter. The projects in this HTML class will be really good experience. We will each create two web sites: one on a personal choice of topic, and the other for a client. Our client will be either a business or some other community organization. The College sets this up. Sounds great, huh?

At home I will be trying to re-learn my mostly forgotten ability to program in C for DOS, and then translate that into writing C for Linux. Then I will start learning how to do CGI. Who knows, if I get far enough and can buy the books, I might learn Perl or something. First, though, I have to re-learn C, and learn how to do stuff in Red Hat Linux. I have the linux OS set up on one of my computers (Diogenes). I could use help in figuring out how to use it.

You can look at my on-line projects and other stuff for class through my Projects page. Though you may find my Projects page confusing  (I do)  feel free to poke around. Please remember that this represents "work in progress". You will find a link to my Projects page at the bottom of this page.

Also, remember that this is MY PERSONAL website; and I will not be doing any overly fancy stuff on THIS website unless there is a need or purpose for it. Unfortunately, my "Personal" Site work may suffer neglect as a result of the other class-related and educational computer work.

HTML Tutorials

For the benefit of my HTML class and classmates, I have also decided to make some HTML tutorial files available on-line. I highly recommend these to fellow HTML students. They can be found in my Files Section, packaged as zipped files: see my tutorials index  to download the files. You must have winzip or unzip to un-zip them. ( I have included the DOS version of pk's "unzip" program in my files section. You could use that.)

These Pages...

These webpages are being updated for the Third Millennium !
I am updating the website I have been working and reshaping for the last two years or so.

Danger ! So these pages are always "under construction" !   Some pages aren't done yet - you should get a message such as "not yet", or whatever, if you try to access one of those. (You may even get a 404 error if I forgot to put the right link in.) But these pages are open. Come on in.
If you have trouble seeing anything on my website: jump up, run around in circles, and scream incoherently. 8)

When in darkness or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout!

Indeed: my webpages will never be completely "finished"...   that would be boring, wouldn't it?
